Falls Church, VA – Inova is a sponsoring partner with the Washington Redskins. This morning, the Washington Redskins announced that they are undertaking a comprehensive review of the team’s name.  J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS, President and CEO, Inova Health System, issued the following statement regarding this review:

“Inclusion and belonging are integral to the culture of Inova and we have communicated that directly to the Redskins organization.  We are pleased to see that they are undertaking a comprehensive review of the team name and expect this to result in change, change that recognizes that racism in any form is counter to our values as an organization and as a community.”
