A patient was brought to Inova Loudoun Hospital on Thursday, October 16, 2014, with a recent travel history to West Africa and reportedly a low grade fever. All safety precautions and protocols were in place. The patient received a preliminary evaluation by Inova Loudoun Hospital physicians in coordination with local and state health departments. The patient didn’t meet the threshold for Ebola testing.
Ebola testing is only performed by local regional Health Department authorities in consultation with the CDC. They determine whether the patient meets the threshold for Ebola testing and then subsequently would conduct the test. Find more information on CDC website.

I have tried combing thru the above links and cannot find the specific "threshold for Ebola testing". I hope that this patient will not be released without 48 hours of additional observation.
Don't drop the ball INOVA.
And why not test regardless of the threshold?
Why aren't the records of her travels and current fever enough to just test and rule Ebola???

So was she specifically tested for Ebola or not? Wording is not clear.

Thank you for being so open with this information. It is good to know that Inova is prepared and ready to respond.
