Inova continues to set the national standard for excellence in health care

Recognition from U.S. News & World Report, Modern Healthcare and Press Ganey highlights Inova’s commitment to delivering exceptional care for every patient

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – Inova continues to earn national recognition as one of the country’s leading health systems, reinforcing its commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care and innovation.

U.S. News & World Report once again recognized Inova Fairfax as one of the top hospitals in Washington, DC and Virginia, reflecting outstanding performance across numerous specialties, procedures and conditions, including #41 in the nation for obstetrics and gynecology.

Inova Alexandria, Inova Fair Oaks and Inova Loudoun hospitals were also recognized among the best in the commonwealth and among the top 10 in the DC metropolitan region. Inova Mount Vernon Hospital ranked #1 in the DC area for orthopedics and #3 for rehabilitation. All five Inova hospitals were recognized as High Performing across multiple specialties and procedures.

These latest accolades follow Inova’s recent ranking as the #3 Top Large Health System in the United States in the 2026 15 Top Health Systems study by Modern Healthcare. Using objective measures of patient experience, outcomes and safety, Modern Healthcare’s ranking recognizes Inova’s systemwide excellence and commitment to world-class patient care. Inova was also named 2025 Health System of the Year by Press Ganey, honoring Inova for excellence in patient care, team member engagement and its commitment to continuous improvement.
