David Goldberg Named Administrator of Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children

Falls Church, VA – (March 20, 2009) — Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children is pleased to welcome David Goldberg as its new Administrator, effective April 13. As Administrator, Goldberg will oversee daily operations for the hospital and will be responsible for strategic planning and directing clinical business development. He will report directly to Rod Huebbers, Administrator, Inova Fairfax Hospital Campus.

Goldberg has been a part of Inova Health System since 2001. He is currently the Chief Growth Officer and Assistant Vice President of Operations at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Planning and Development at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

“We’re excited to have David join us here at Inova’s Fairfax campus,” said Reuven Pasternak, MD, CEO, Inova Fairfax Hospital Campus. “During his time with Inova, David has developed strong business and community relationships throughout Northern Virginia, and he’s the right choice to continue building Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children’s presence in the region.”

Goldberg earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science from West Virginia University and a Master’s degree in healthcare management from George Mason University. In 2008 GMU honored Goldberg as its 2008 Distinguished Alumni of the College of Health and Human Services, and he was recently named to the Dean’s Advisory Board of that college. He is also actively involved in various civic associations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the Boy Scouts of America.
