What does one say when people save your life. Inova Alexandria did just that. After two bouts of pancreatitis I was beginning to think I would never be well again. Well they found the cause and on New Years Day removed my gall bladder. Sounds simple, but believe me the pain of pancreatitis is no joke. I returned again later that year with a bleeding ulcer. After receiving 4 units of blood, I had it surgically repaired. So they saved my life for a second time. I would like to thank all the Doctors who help me, but also to offer my sincere thanks to the great nurses and staff. They never let you give up. Even the cleaning lady who went about her duties with joy and love in her heart always had words of encouragement. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Congratulations to MT Vernon Inova Hospital. Have been both a patient and also in the emergency room, as well as an outpatient and have received A1 treatment each time. Thanks to all the nurses, doctors and all those who work there.

Hello Deborah, it was hidden inside the first bullet point but Inova Mt. Vernon also received an "A" safety grade from Leapfrog -- for the ninth consecutive year! Thank you for your keen eye -- I have also updated this article to reflect Inova Mt. Vernon's February 2019 "5 Star Hospital" rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services!
