James Ecklund, MD, Chair of the Department of Neurosciences at Inova Fairfax Hospital and CEO of the Inova Health System Neuroscience and Spine Institute is Appointed to National Trauma Institute Board of Directors

The National Trauma Institute announced changes to its Board of Directors, including scheduled organizational representative turnover and the addition of a new affiliated professional group. Christopher Kang, MD, replaces Angela Gardner, MD, as the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) representative; James Ecklund, MD, replaces Alex Valadka as the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) representative; and Alice Gervasini, RN, PhD, joins as a new member affiliated with the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN)—an addition that enables NTI to bring trauma nurse representation onto the board.
