Medical Oncology & Hematology Associates of Northern Virginia Joins Inova Medical Group

FALLS CHURCH, VA – February 16, 2016 – Inova Medical Group this month announced that Medical Oncology & Hematology Associates of Northern Virginia will join its team of talented and experienced physicians employed by Inova. The practice, which brings five physicians, four nurse practitioners or physician assistants, and more than 50 support staff members, will have a brand new outpatient infusion clinic, outpatient pharmacy and lab, and outpatient research facility.

The newly named Inova Hematology Oncology team is comprised of exceptionally trained, dedicated and compassionate providers who employ the latest innovative technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders. With years of education, professional training and experience at premier institutions, this physician team will become an integral part of the Inova Dwight and Martha Schar Cancer Institute (Schar Cancer Institute), an international center for advanced cancer care and research.

Inova Hematology Oncology will have office locations at 8501 Arlington Blvd, in Falls Church, and at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax. They will offer disease specific specialty care for many forms of cancer including skin cancers, brain tumors, cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, head and neck cancer, and genitourinary cancer. All Inova’s providers strive to provide holistic care, and work with the Life with Cancer program to give emotional and social support to patients and their families.
