Leesburg, VA – (November 26, 2010) – Inova Loudoun Hospital’s efforts to ‘go green’ were recognized at Loudoun County’s first annual Green Business Challenge on November 16. At the Green Gala, the hospital was awarded the Silver Certificate and a Resolution from the Chamber of Commerce in recognition of its efforts to go green.
Some of Inova’s accomplishments in this area include purchasing recycled office supplies, implementing a commingled recycling program, creating an employee benefits program for alternative transportation and holding workshops to educate employees on green topics.
The Green Business Challenge is a partnership between the Loudoun County Government and the Chamber of Commerce to encourage Loudoun businesses to adopt environmentally sound business practices.
