Epic Updates

The following updates are included for your review:

Reference Lab Changes – As part of Inova Laboratories’ transition of send-out tests to Mayo Laboratories, results displayed for several specialized labs ordered between Jan. 2-6 will be different. Also, three reference labs have now been split into two tests, which must now be ordered separately:

  • IgE Milk Component Profile
  • Egg Component Profile
  • Mitochondrial and Actin Antibody Panel
Attached is a detailed list of the more than 100 labs affected, screenshots and details on how the above three labs have been split.

Continuous Infusion Orders Titration – On Jan. 14, we changed the wording in the administration instructions section, under smart lists, of infusion orders to improve the timing of infusion therapy and clarify when nursing may discontinue. There is no change in workflow.
