Stephen Jones, MD, FACS, President and CEO, Inova; Kevin LeBlanc, Mayor, Herndon, VA; Michael Lloyd, Councilmember, Herndon, VA; Mara Carter, Sr. Director Community Health, Inova.

Fairfax, VA — Today, Inova celebrated the grand opening of the relocation and expansion of care at a new site at 365 Herndon Parkway, Suite 105, Herndon, Virginia. Inova Cares for Families (ICF), Inova Cares for Women (ICW), Inova Cares for Children (ICC) and Inova Juniper (IJ) clinics are now located together, making it easier for patients who are uninsured or qualify for Medicaid, FAMIS, or Inova’s Financial Assistance Program to get the medical care they need at a central location. This move is part of Inova’s continual effort to ensure patient access is aligned with community need.

Last year across the community, ICF had 15,785 patients with 40,130 patient encounters; ICW had 6,436 patients with 39,543 patient encounters; ICC had 11,772 patients with 34,716 patient encounters; and at Inova Juniper 1,827 patients were seen with 16,638 patient encounters.

“As the region’s largest healthcare provider and recipient of the Health System of the Year award, Inova is purposeful in establishing our clinic locations where the community need is greatest,” said J. Stephen Jones, MD, FACS, President and CEO, Inova. “Practicing our mission of providing care to each person in every community we are privileged to serve means tailoring high-quality healthcare services to the unique needs of our neighbors here in Herndon.”

The Inova Cares and Juniper programs provide comprehensive primary care services including sick and well visits, physicals, nurse case management, education and counseling for disease prevention, psychosocial support and care coordination.

“The residents of Herndon literally have one-stop healthcare access,” commented Karen Berube, SVP and Chief, Community Health, Inova. “Consolidating these vital healthcare services ensures that every member of the family has access to high-quality medical care and support at every age and stage throughout their lifespan, cultivating long-term wellbeing, regardless of their ability to pay.”
