Fairfax, VA — Inova Health System is pleased to announce that Northern Virginia Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates (NVPCCA) will be joining Inova to form “Inova Pulmonology,” effective June 6, 2023. The addition of this team will establish a system-wide pulmonary division with established locations in Falls Church and Annandale and future plans for expansion in Northern Virginia, including the Mount Vernon area. NVPCCA’s team of nine board-certified physicians and one physician assistant have served the Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC area for more than 30 years.

Inova Pulmonology diagnoses and manages a variety of pulmonary diseases, including asthma, bronchiectasis, chronic cough, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung diseases, pleural effusion, pulmonary infections, pulmonary nodules and sleep disorders. The team provides onsite diagnostic evaluation, inpatient coverage and longitudinal follow-up care.

“Our pulmonologists understand the complex nature of lung diseases and the deep impact these conditions can have on a person’s ability to live a fulfilling life,” said Zobair Younossi, MD, President, Inova Medicine Service Line. “We are thrilled to welcome NVPCCA’s team of talented experts whose extensive experience and knowledge will help advance pulmonary medical diagnostics and therapeutics to provide our patients with high quality medical care.”
