Inova Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center Recognized National MS Society Partner and Inova Fairfax Hospital NSCIU Recognized with Beacon Award

Inova’s Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center is recognized as a Partner in MS Care by the  National MS Society. The national award recognizes healthcare providers as partners in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) care who demonstrate knowledge and expertise in treating people with MS. These providers have a relationship with the National MS Society which helps provide patients with the information, resources and support available to assist them in living their best lives.

Rahul Davè, MD, PhD led Inova’s efforts to help ensure Inova provides the highest standards of care for MS patients.

“Dr. Davè is a great advocate for our MS patients,” said James Ecklund, MD, FACS, President, Inova Neuroscience and Spine Institute. “These patients can be difficult to diagnose and challenging to manage. Under his leadership we have implemented best practices and improved access for these patients as we continue to expand our neuroscience service line throughout our community.”

The American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN) awarded Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit with the 2020 Beacon Award (silver level). The Beacon Award signifies a positive and supportive work environment with strong collaboration between colleagues and leaders. It lauds hospital units that employ evidence-based practices to improve patient and family outcomes.

“Receiving this award represents tremendous focus of our nurses in collaboration with the extended care team each and every day and recognizes our commitment to patient care and standards of practice,” said Fadia Feghali, MS, RN, NE-BC, Vice President, Nursing, Inova Neuroscience and Spine Institute.
