Sterling, VA – It’s time for our Annual Joy of Giving Donation Center Event!! Join us at an open center location between Sunday, Dec. 16, and Monday, Dec. 31, to participate.
All donors will have the chance to select a stocking with a prize inside, with a chance to win a $5, $10, $25, $50 or $100 gift card*! As always, we will provide special snacks for donors.
Even though the holiday season is here, the hustle and bustle of patient care continues throughout the region. Caring for our most fragile patients does not pause during this joyous season. The inventory level of blood products is critically low during this time of year, which can affect patient care. We are appealing to our generous returning donors and new donors to take an hour out of your day and donate the gift of life for patients spending the holidays in the hospital. The hour it takes to donate blood will give a patient in need a chance to make a lifetime of memories this holiday with their friends and families. Donors make a difference, and we are asking everyone to consider donating blood products.
Donate blood, platelets, plasma or red cells to give patients what they need to heal. All blood transfused in hospitals comes from volunteer blood donors. Photo ID Required. Please allow one hour for your blood donation. Please allow 90-120 minutes for your platelet donation. Platelet donors should not take any aspirin or aspirin-related products within 48 hours prior to donation. Visit inovablood.org to learn more about platelet donation.
