Lights of Love Celebration December 2

The Ladies Board LogoLeesburg, VA   —  Give the gift of love this holiday season by joining The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Lights of Love celebration on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m. in the hospital’s Atrium, located at 44045 Riverside Parkway, Leesburg.

Purchase a “light” in honor of someone who has brightened your life this year – a teacher, a friend, a family member, a minister – or use the “light” to honor the memory of someone special.  Bring your family to the ceremony to celebrate the wonderful gifts that people are in your life.  Attendees will enjoy live music and refreshments.  Valet parking at Inova Loudoun’s South Entrance is complimentary and available from 4:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. that evening.

“We are delighted to have the Loudoun County High School Chamber Choir present a holiday concert,” said Joan Elliott, Co-Chair of the Lights of Love Committee.  The Chamber Choir is under the direction of Willis Rosenfeld, a professional accompanist.  “What better time than the joyous holiday season to honor special people in our lives,” added Elliott.

The celebration highlights include the tree lighting, the reading of the honorees’ names, live music, and attendees lighting their candles.

All donations to Lights of Love, a year-round fundraising project, are given to The Ladies Board’s Nursing Scholarship Fund.  The Ladies Board awarded scholarships totaling $110,500 to 51 nursing students this year.

Brochures for purchasing lights can be obtained from Twice Is Nice thrift store (305 E. Market St., Leesburg) or The Gift Shop (44045 Riverside Pkwy., Leesburg) or can be downloaded from the website, LadiesBoard.org.  To learn more, call 703-771-2985.
