U.S. News & World Report Names Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Among Best in Washington, DC Area
Alexandria, VA – Inova Mount Vernon Hospital has been ranked the #7 Best Hospital in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (out of 57 hospitals) by U.S. News & World Report in 2018-19 rankings. The hospital also ranked #14 in the state of Virginia (out of 123 hospitals) and earned high performing recognition in orthopedics, hip replacement and knee replacement. The annual U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 29th year, recognize top hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients.

For the 2018-19 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 158 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.
