Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Only Facility Dog to Host Birthday Celebration on Sunday, December 3 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Leesburg, VA — Inova Loudoun Hospital’s facility dog, Jeremiah, is turning three and wants to celebrate with the community. Jeremiah’s birthday party is Sunday, December 3 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the cafeteria at Inova Loudoun, 44045 Riverside Parkway, Leesburg.
Guests can enjoy cake and ice cream, make crafts, and play party games. The cake will be cut at 3 p.m. Jeremiah will also pose for photos with guests. Jeremiah is Inova Loudoun’s only full-time facility dog and the first facility dog to work at a hospital in the Washington, DC area. He spends most of his days visiting patients in Inova Loudoun’s Children’s Emergency Room and Pediatric Inpatient Unit. His job is to make patients smile while in the hospital.
In lieu of birthday gifts, Jeremiah asks that attendees consider bringing one new toy for his friends in the pediatrics department. Toys will be given to children in the hospital during the holiday season. Toys must be purchased new and do not have to be wrapped. A gift is not required to attend the event.
