Inova Loudoun Hospital Life with Cancer and Loudoun Breast Health Network to Host Annual Free Community Event: Breast Cancer Survivors’ Retreat

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

LEESBURG, VA – To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Loudoun County, Inova Loudoun Hospital Life with Cancer and the Loudoun Breast Health Network are hosting Pathways to Survivorship: A Breast Cancer Survivors’ Retreat on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at The National Conference Center, 18980 Upper Belmont Place, Leesburg. The Retreat will start with an educational session from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Transforming to your New Normal: The Power of Self Care with Anu Kaur, MS, RDN, RYT, Anu a Healthy. Board Certified Music Therapist Raymond Leone will be performing from 12:30-12:45 p.m.

The Survivors Retreat Open House, 12:45 – 2:30 p.m., will showcase information and community resources.  Attendees will enjoy an array of complimentary giveaways and services including: free wigs, bras, scarves and hats; soft pocket prostheses; makeup sessions; bra fittings; yoga, massage and healing touch sessions; door prizes; light lunch and refreshments and much more.

About Life with Cancer

Life with Cancer, a program of the Inova Schar Cancer Institute, has become Northern Virginia’s leading cancer education and support organization. We offer a variety of programs and services for patients, survivors, and their family members to help individuals cope with cancer, its treatments, and survivorship in the best possible way.
