Inova Loudoun Hospital Names Marissa Jamarik Chief Nursing Officer

Leesburg, VA  — Inova Loudoun Hospital (ILH) is pleased to announce Marissa Jamarik, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). She is filling the role after long time CNO Lisa Dugan passed away.

Dr. Jamarik has more than 28 years of nursing experience, 21 of those years in leadership roles. She most recently served as interim chief nursing officer and senior director of nursing services. While in the senior director role, Dr. Jamarik had operational responsibility for the direction of 14 units and departments including 12 direct reports and over 300 employees.

“Our former CNO Lisa Dugan had been grooming Marissa for years as a nursing leader.  Lisa left big shoes to fill but I have the utmost confidence and faith that Marissa will do an excellent job,” said Deborah Addo, CEO, Inova Loudoun Hospital. “She is well respected and highly regarded, our nursing staff is thrilled she’ll be leading them.”

Dr. Jamarik’s first job at Loudoun Memorial Hospital was as a patient care technician and her first RN job was in telemetry.  She holds a Doctorate degree in nursing from Walden University and a Master’s degree in nursing from George Mason University.  She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, National Honor Society of Nursing; American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.

She is the proud mother of three children: two college students and a high school senior.

“It is an honor and a privilege to have this opportunity to serve Inova Loudoun Hospital in this capacity.  Nursing has been my life’s work, and serving the people who take the most exceptional care of our patients is my mission.  My history as both a long time Inova nurse and lifelong Loudoun County resident has enriched my understanding of where we have been as an organization and heightened my excitement for where the future will be taking us,” commented Dr. Jamarik.

Dr. Jamarik will assume her new role immediately.
