Inova Schar Cancer Institute Oncologist Jeanny Aragon-Ching Selected for ASCO Leadership Development Program

FALLS CHURCH, VA – Inova is pleased to announce that Jeanny Aragon-Ching, MD, has been selected to participate in the esteemed American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Leadership Development Program for years 2017-2018. The ASCO Leadership Development Program is a year-long course for a mid-career group of highly accomplished practicing oncologists. It positions them to be the future leaders in ASCO, and to shape the future of cancer care. The rigorous selection process results in 16 participants being nominated to the program where they are provided valuable leadership training, networking opportunities, mentorship from ASCO leaders, exposure to government research agencies, and first-hand advocacy experience on Capitol Hill.

“We are delighted for Jeanny that she has been selected to participate in this program,” said Donald “Skip” Trump, CEO, Inova Schar Cancer Institute. “We are also delighted for Inova, where we have already benefitted from her natural leadership ability and her exceptional clinical expertise. We look forward to supporting her continued growth at Inova.”

Dr. Aragon-Ching serves as the Clinical Program Director of Genitourinary Cancers and a medical oncologist at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute specializing in prostate cancer, kidney cancer and bladder cancer. She holds an academic appointment as Associate Professor of Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University. She has served in varying capacities as an educator, researcher and clinician, and she has served as a primary investigator on many studies at Inova Schar Cancer Institute on GU cancers.
