Update: Visitations restrictions have been lifted as of May 7, 2016.
FAIRFAX, VA – March 8, 2016 – Due to increased flu-like illness activity at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, the hospital has instituted temporary changes to their visitation policy beginning Tuesday, March 8, at 9:00 p.m.
The temporary measures apply to visitors until further notice:
“These temporary measures will help protect against influenza infection of the most vulnerable among us, including inpatients with compromised immune systems as well as our caregivers,” observed Dr. Loring Flint, Inova’s Chief Medical Officer. “We appreciate everyone’s consideration and cooperation as, together, we work to assure the health and safety of our community during flu season.”
When the level of flu infection decreases, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital will return to its open visitation policy.

Is it possible I can interview a pathologist at this time? I have to do it for a school project, I can visit on Friday morning.
Please contact a pathologist office directly to ask if they can provide an interview for your school project. Find a list of Inova affiliated pathologists on our website at http://www.inova.org/Physicians/Results.aspx?SearchTerm=Pathology.
