Inova Loudoun Hospital Hosting Tenth Annual NICU Reunion

NICU Reunion Reunites Families, Caregivers

Leesburg, VA — September 22, 2015 — Inova Loudoun Hospital is hosting the 10th Annual NICU Reunion on Sunday, September 27 from 2 – 4 p.m. for patients cared for in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Former NICU patients and their families are invited to get together to spend time with current nursing and medical staff members and other families celebrating growth.

Children are welcome to come in costume and join others for a parade. Attendees are encouraged to bring a current photo with the child’s name, gestational age and current age. There will also be entertainment for the kids including music by Mr. Skip, magician, face painting, balloon artist and good food.

The reunion will be held at the Inova Loudoun Medical Campus – Leesburg (main hospital), 44045 Riverside Parkway, in Conference Rooms A & B. For more information email lori.caslin@inova.org.

Inova Loudoun Hospital’s Level IIIA NICU cares for premature babies and newborns with medical conditions requiring specialized care and observation. The NICU offers 24-hour staffing from highly experienced multi-disciplinary pediatric professionals, board-certified neonatologists, specially trained and certified nurses and board-certified lactation consultants, and respiratory therapists dedicated to neonatal intensive care. In addition, a NICU Family Support Specialist is on staff and manages the NICU Family Support Program. Adjacent to Inova Loudoun Hospital’s post-partum unit, the NICU offers expert care in a state-of-the-art facility.
