Ladies Board Awards $100,000 to Nursing Students

The Ladies Board LogoLeesburg, VA — The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital is pleased to announce that it has awarded 48 nursing scholarships for a total of $100,000. This year awards range from $1000 to $3000. The quality of applications this year was exceptional, and the diversity of the students is evident. Recipients are enrolled in LPN, RN, BSN, MSN and DNP programs in 18 different schools. This includes Monroe Technology Center, which has received support from The Ladies Board for more than 25 years.

The Ladies Board Nursing Scholarship Program was established in 1959 to award supplemental funds to worthy nursing students. In the past 55 years The Ladies Board has offered 1000 scholarships with a total value of over $1,500,000.

The Gift Shop at Inova Loudoun Hospital, Twice Is Nice Thrift Shop in Leesburg, the Lights of Love remembrance program and the Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale raise funds for this important project.

Scholarship applications for next year’s awards will be available online at www.ladiesboard.org in early January 2016. Applicants must live or work in Loudoun County and must be enrolled or accepted in an accredited school of nursing. For more information www.ladiesboard.org or call 703-777-6357.
