Inova and Lockheed Martin Celebrates 10 Years of Toy Donations to Children in Northern Virginia

Event Has Given 5,000 Gifts to Northern Virginia Children

FALLS CHURCH, VA – (December 10, 2012) – Today Inova celebrated its 10th annual holiday toy donation program with its corporate sponsor Lockheed Martin.  Toys donated from Lockheed Martin employees were given to approximately 450 children and families at the InovaCares Clinic for Women and Children in Falls Church today, were they were entertained by Santa, children’s holiday readings and live music. In the past 10 years, Inova and Lockheed Martin have supplied holiday gifts to around 5,000 children.

While Santa was definitely the main attraction, children and their parents were excited to see ABC7/WJLA-TV meteorologist Jacqui Jeras serving as one of his helpers for the day, passing out toys and greeting families.

“Lockheed Martin makes it our mission to help meet the needs of our communities in which we work and live.  This event today shows just one of the ways we are working to make our communities stronger and I am very proud to be a part of it,” said Tim Reardon, President Lockheed Martin IS&GS-National.
