Inova Kellar Center Receives Generous $900,000 Gift from Kellar Family Foundation

Gift to Provide Support for Expansion of Services and Research Initiative

Falls Church, VA – (May 25, 2011) – Inova Kellar Center is pleased to announce a recent donation of $900,000 from the Kellar Family Foundation. It is among the largest, single, non-capital gifts Inova Kellar Center has received in its 20-year history. The gift will provide support to the general operating fund, the Arthur and Elizabeth Kellar Memorial Fund, the expansion of the Center’s Outpatient Family Services and significant support of the Inova Kellar Center Research Initiative.

“This is a tremendously generous gift,” said Rick Leichtweis, PhD, Director, Inova Kellar Center. “By providing funding to sustain and grow our services, this gift keeps alive the legacy of Art and Betty. It also allows us to continue to provide much-needed services to the families in our community. The research support will enable the Center to become a nationally-recognized Center of Excellence in Child and Adolescent Behavioral Healthcare.”
