Inova Fair Oaks Hospital to Host Reunion of Smallest Patients

NICU Reunion Reunites Families, Caregivers

Fairfax, VA – (June 2, 2010) — Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is hosting a reunion on Sunday, June 6, at Navy Elementary School, for patients cared for in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The NICU reunion — complete with robot and puppeteer entertainment, refreshments, prize giveaways and more — enables parents, children and their caregivers to reconnect after the families have left the hospital.

“The NICU reunion gives us — the nurses, doctors and administrators — a way to see how all the beautiful children from the NICU have grown to be vibrant and active,” said Marisa Little, Patient Care Director, Special Care Nursery, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. “We have so many grateful parents. The reunion gives them a chance to say ‘thank you’ and to connect with other NICU families.”
