(April 21, 2009)
Grand Opening of InovaCares Clinic for Women and Children, along with Inova Care Connection for Children, NVSF – Multicultural Human Services Program, and NOVA ScriptsCentral.
Join Inova Health System as we officially open the new InovaCares Clinic for Women and Children. Spanning two floors, the InovaCares Clinic provides quality healthcare to low-income and uninsured patients. The women’s clinic sees 100 to 150 patients a day and the children’s clinic sees 85 to 100 patients a day. The new space includes procedure rooms, several exam rooms, classrooms for patient education, a laboratory and physician offices. Inova partnered with some Fairfax-area non-profit community programs and donated space for NVSF – Multicultural Human Services Program and NOVA ScriptsCentral.
There will also be a special check presentation at 3:30 p.m. at NOVA ScriptsCentral (NSC), Suite 120. CareFirst BlueCross will present NSC with a $250,000 check to help support its operations. NSC is a non-profit collaborative pharmacy that provides quality pharmaceutical care and access to life-saving medications for low-income and uninsured patients and their children. For every $1 invested in NSC, $34 in services and products are returned to the community.
