Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children’s “Change for Children” Campaign Collects More Than $4,000

Campaign Raised Funds for Entertainment for Pediatric Patients

Falls Church, VA – (August 7, 2008) — From March through mid-June, Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children encouraged people to crack open their piggy banks and check under their couch cushions for spare change. Individuals or groups collected pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters that resulted in a total of more than $4,000.

The donations collected will go to purchase toys and other entertainment to help our youngest patients feel better during their hospital stay. The top fundraising groups were Girl Scout Troop 3401 with $1,800 and Stone Hill Middle School with $1,012.
