A cutting-edge treatment for cancer patients called HIPEC was recently featured on an episode of The Good Doctor. Inova oncologist Dr. Lana Bijelic is one of the few physicians in the area to offer this technique. ABC 7-WJLA recently shared a story of a Northern Virginia woman that credits HIPEC or what some call “hot chemotherapy” for saving her life.
