Is your personality making you fat?

(May 15, 2012) – Are you impulsive, a multi-tasker or a night owl? Recent research has found a connection between personality and the struggle to lose weight. Even a trait such as being a “giver,” may affect weight gain. Jackie Jacobson, a psychotherapist and bariatric counselor at Inova, spoke to WUSA 9 about how she helps patients learn the mental skills to lose weight and keep it off.  Featured is Gayle Hales, who lost 25 pounds and is now living a healthy life.
