Inova Loudoun Hospital Announces Campaign to Support Hospital’s Expansion Event Held at Historic Selma Mansion in Loudoun County

Leesburg, VA — On June 7, Inova Loudoun Hospital unveiled the “Loudoun Rising: Taking Health to New Heights” fundraising campaign. The $20M campaign will support the hospital’s $300M master plan expansion of facilities and services to be completed by 2020. Sharon D. Virts and Scott F. Miller hosted the campaign kickoff at Selma Mansion in Leesburg.

“We believe strongly in investing in our community’s health.  This campaign is a bold initiative that will have a significant and meaningful impact on our health, our children’s health and even our grandchildren’s health,” commented campaign co-chair Sharon Virts and Scott Miller, both of whom are major donors for the campaign and Selma owners.

“This campaign will only be successful with the community’s support and advocacy. We know that to meet the needs of our ever-growing community requires in depth, county-wide expansion planning and implementation, along with advanced services and tertiary care that you would see at larger hospitals,” said Inova Loudoun Hospital CEO Deborah Addo, who thanked donors who have already contributed $12M towards the $20M goal. “Our plans, and this Loudoun Rising campaign, are about building additional infrastructure and expanding services to meet the needs of our growing community.”

Master plan expansion of facilities and services includes:

  • new seven story patient tower with all private rooms
  • more tertiary services, including catalyzing Level III Trauma at the Inova Virts Miller Family Emergency and Trauma Center and throughout the hospital
  • expanded Inova Heart and Vascular Institute Schaufeld Family Heart Center
  • expanded Intermediate Care Unit and Intensive Care Unit
  • new obstetrics unit and expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

The campaign will also include other critical initiatives, such as bringing additional mental health resources to Loudoun County.  To learn more about the campaign, please visit inova.org/loudounrising.
