Hosting Donation Drives to Benefit At-Risk Youth in Loudoun

Leesburg, VA – (February 20, 2012) — Inova Loudoun Hospital’s program Mobile Hope is hosting donation drives to benefit at-risk youth (18 and under) in Loudoun County.  Donations will be collected monthly on the first Monday of the month and the last Friday of the month from 6 – 8 p.m. at Inova Loudoun Medical Campus – Leesburg (Cornwall), 224 Cornwall St. NW, Leesburg.  Look for  onsite signs for exact drop off locations.
Current needs are:

  • Personal hygiene items (individual size)
  • Tuna and chicken salad in a bag and dry milk
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Hand towels, washcloths
  • Diapers, wipes and formula

“We want to thank the community for all of their continued support of this program and for all of the donations. The community contribution is making a difference in the lives of these precariously housed children,” said Donna Fortier, community affairs executive & director of Mobile Health Services.

Mobile Hope helps at-risk youth (18 and under) in Loudoun to meet their basic needs, ranging from providing food, clothing, blankets, personal and hygiene items, access to services and community support they would not otherwise have and basic medical care. Launched in the spring of 2011, Mobile Hope Services visits identified locations throughout the county several times a month to meet the growing needs of this vulnerable population.

If you need other arrangements, would like to volunteer  or have large sized drop offs, please contact Mobile Hope at 703-858-8921 or mobilehope@inova.org.  For more information visit www.inova.org/mobile-hope.
