Inova Alexandria Hospital Ranked ‘Excellent’ By Physicians

Hospital Services in 100th Percentile for Delivering Quality Care

Alexandria, VA – (June 1, 2011) — Physicians who want ‘excellence’ visit and practice at Inova Alexandria Hospital according to a recent satisfaction survey conducted by the Professional Research Consultants, Inc., (PRC) a firm which performs annual physician surveys.

“We’re pleased that many of our programs and services are ranked in the top 100th percentile by our physicians,” said Christine Candio, CEO, Inova Alexandria Hospital. “This recognition demonstrates our strong commitment to ensuring that patients receive excellent care and our desire to have physicians who deliver quality care.”

The survey found that radiology and emergency departments scored high for physicians who believe the quality of these services at the hospital are excellent. Both areas received PRC’s Top Performer Award for ranking in the top 100th percentile.  Inova Alexandria Hospital’s Emergency Department was one of only three emergency departments nationally to receive this honor.  The Inova Alexandria Hospital Radiology Department was one of two radiology departments nationally to receive this honor.Other areas that ranked highly were anesthesia, laboratory services, medical records, nursing and surgery.

PRC is a research advisory company contracted to conduct telephone surveys and analysis of physicians and patient satisfaction for Inova Health System.
