Inova CIO Part of Hill Discussion on Health IT Implementation

Roundtable to Focus on Health IT Workforce, Training

Washington, DC – (September 27, 2009) – Inova Health System Chief Information Officer Geoff Brown will take part in a public roundtable discussion focused on the workforce and training issues critical to the successful implementation of Health IT on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 8-10 a.m., in room B-339 of the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill.

Sponsored by the Career College Association and the TechAmerica Association, the discussion will explore issues of how IT-enabled healthcare solutions will affect doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and the allied health workforce.

Each roundtable participant will take part in a question-and-answer discussion with other panel members and the audience. Claire Shipman of ABC News will moderate the discussion. Other participants will include:
