7 On Your Side Health Alert: 35 million cases of flu possible once season ends, CDC says, WJLA – ABC 7

FAIRFAX, Va. (ABC7) — The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports there may potentially be 35 million cases of the flu before the season ends.

CDC officials say the H3N2 strain is the most common and typically causes the worst flu outbreaks.

According to officials, there have been 13 pediatric deaths already this flu season.
