Inova Blood Donor Services hosts multiple blood drives in Loudoun County

Leesburg, VA, March 13, 2025 —Inova Blood Donor Services (IBDS) invites the Loudoun County community to roll up their sleeves and save lives by donating blood at three upcoming blood drives. Your donation can make a critical difference for patients in need.

This year marks 60 years of IBDS supporting patients and saving lives in the DC area. Since 1965, IBDS has grown from starting in the basement of Fairfax Hospital, collecting just 300 units of blood annually—to the lifesaving operation it is today.

To honor our 60th anniversary, we’ve set a goal of collecting 60,000 blood donations this year. Meeting this goal will significantly impact local patients, providing the critical blood products they need to survive.
