Ladies Board Seeking Applicants for Nursing Scholarships

Leesburg, VA –  The Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital is now accepting applications for nursing school tuition assistance.   Scholarships are available to eligible students in various programs of study, including degrees at the associate, bachelor, master’s and doctoral levels.  Since the Nursing Scholarship Fund was created in 1959, nearly 1,100 scholarships have been awarded, totaling over $1,500,000.  Last year’s scholarships ranged from $1,000 to $3,500 and totaled $105,500.

Qualified applicants must:

  • Reside or work in Loudoun County
  • Be enrolled in or accepted into an accredited school of nursing
  • Have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average
  • Have completed 1 semester of nursing school or 30 undergraduate college credits.

Applications are also available at several Leesburg locations including the Gift Shop at Inova Loudoun Hospital, 44045 Riverside Parkway; Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 235 Old Waterford Road, NW; and Twice Is Nice Thrift Shop, 305 E. Market Street. The deadline for applications is April 11, 2017.

Scholarships are funded by the Hospital Gift Shop, Twice Is Nice thrift shop in Leesburg, the Lights of Love program, and the Annual Ladies Board Rummage Sale.
