Emergency Preparedness Exercise at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus on December 16

(December 12, 2012) – As home to the region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, Inova Fairfax Medical Campus serves as Northern Virginia’s first responder regarding the health and well-being of our community. With that role, comes a responsibility to always be prepared for whatever emergency or disaster we may face, from natural disasters to terrorism. We are able to accomplish this preparation through various drills and exercises conducted throughout the year.

Sunday, December 16, Inova Fairfax Medical Campus will host members of the Fairfax County Police Department and Fairfax County Fire and Rescue in our newly built South Patient Tower for an emergency preparedness exercise.

The exercise will last throughout the day. As part of the drill, there will be many police and fire vehicles on the campus, which we realize may draw attention. Sirens will be off, and we will do our best to abate any impact on our neighbors.
