Heart devices save trainer from rare disease, WUSA 9 , February 13, 2015
Brian Stevens, a personal trainer in Bowie, MD, was diagnosed with sarcoidosis. He received two Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) before receiving a heart transplant at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He shared his story with WUSA 9 on February 13, 2015.
