Steve Motew, MD, MHA Named Inova Chief Physician Executive

FALLS CHURCH, VA– Inova announces that Steve Motew, MD, MHA, has been named Inova Health System’s Chief Physician Executive (CPE), effective today.  In this role, Dr. Motew will be responsible for building a comprehensive and integrated clinical and physician enterprise as the centerpiece of Inova Health System. This newly created role is a key part of Inova’s transformation.

A vascular surgeon, Dr. Motew most recently was Senior Vice President, Novant Health, President of Novant Health Institutes and Innovation Centers, where he was responsible for clinical care delivery across the enterprise service lines. Prior to this, Dr. Motew served as President of Novant Health’s Winston-Salem market overseeing clinical operations, growth, care delivery, quality and outcomes. Dr. Motew is known for his excellence in clinical care transformation, strategy development and execution, consumer focused healthcare, medical group and clinician leadership.

Dr. Motew received his BA in Anthropology from Emory University, MD Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, and his MHA Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
