Dr. Akhtar specializes in robotic-assisted, computer-navigated and minimally invasive joint replacement procedures including partial knee resurfacing, hip, shoulder, and knee replacements, arthroscopy, and fracture care. A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine in 2004, he completed his internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan and his Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard University.
Inova Loudoun Hospital has earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission in hip and knee replacement procedures.
