Inova, EXOS to Bring Human Performance Services to Northern Virginia

Program offers training for athletes of all ages and adults looking to improve sports performance on the field and at home

Ashburn, VA, May 3, 2017 – Inova Sports Medicine this week announced its partnership with EXOS, a leader in human performance, to bring performance training programs and services to the northern Virginia area. The new program, Inova Sports Performance powered by EXOS, will provide local youth, high school, college and professional athletes, teams, active adults and local companies, and tactical athletes with training programs utilizing EXOS’ methodology that has supported elite champions around the world, the U.S. military and leading global corporations.

“At Inova Sports Medicine, we always say that no matter your age or sport, you will be treated like a professional athlete. With EXOS, now these athletes can train like the pros,” said Robin West, MD, chairman Inova Sports Medicine and lead team physician for the Washington Redskins and the Washington Nationals. “We are excited to bring this program to the Inova community and to work with EXOS to educate athletes, prevent injury and improve health and performance.”

EXOS has supported the 2014 World Cup champion German national team, 93 medalists at the 2012/2016 Summer Olympics, and Washington Redskins players, Fabian Moreau, DeAngelo Hall, Preston Smith, Kendall Fuller, Vernon Davis, Mason Foster, Josh Doctson, and Matt Ioannidis as part of their NFL combine program that has supported 7 No.1 overall picks, 150 first-rounders, and 759 total NFL Draft picks.

“We’re very excited to bring our proven performance system to the northern Virginia area and to Inova,” said Mark Verstegen, founder and president of EXOS. “The Ashburn community is home to many great youth, high school, college, and professional athletes, as well as adults who are passionate about health and achieving greater performance. Our goal with Inova Sports Performance powered by EXOS is to provide performance game plans to elevate people to achieve higher levels of success every day.”

EXOS believes that improving health and performance is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Their solutions provide tailored plans that guide people to improve in the four pillars of human performance — Mindset, Nutrition, Movement, and Recovery — helping them to perform at a high-level day after day.
