Falls Church, VA – (April 24, 2009) – Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children received a $17,000 check from Cox Communications, proceeds raised by the community at this year’s annual Cox Movies Under the Moon® event.

Held this summer from June 24 through June 28 at Van Dyck Park in Fairfax, the outdoor event featured a different movie each night, including “Kung Fu Panda” and “The Dark Knight.” Hundreds of families enjoyed the films and generously donated to the hospital.

This was the seventh year that Cox partnered with the City of Fairfax and 97.1 WASH-FM to present this event. Since 2003, Cox Movies Under the Moon has raised about $77,000 to benefit Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children.
