Inova Fairfax Hospital Hosts Healthcare Delegation from Caucasus, Western Eurasia

Inova Chosen as Industry Leader to Demonstrate Latest Technology, Healthcare Management

Falls Church, VA – (August 13, 2009) — Inova Fairfax Hospital administrators welcomed a delegation of 18 hospital executives from the Caucasus and Western Eurasian regions on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The group visited the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute Observation Dome; the operating rooms, to see the latest da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System; the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; the eICU; and the Central Laboratory.

Katy Goss, Senior Director, Emergency Services, leads the delegation through the Emergency Department.

The U.S. Department of Commerce chose Inova Health System as one stop on a one-month tour of U.S. hospitals and healthcare organizations, as part of its Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) program, which teaches participants about healthcare industry standards and trends in hospital administration. Inova Health System is often chosen to host foreign delegations due to its use of the latest technology and its innovations in the delivery of care.
