Inova Health System Again Named a ‘Best Company’ by Working Mother Magazine

Award Marks Seventh Year Inova Honored By Magazine

(September 24, 2008) – Inova Health System is proud to announce that for the seventh year, the organization has been named one of Working Mother magazine’s “100 Best Companies for Working Mothers.”

Inova Health System was recognized for offering employees numerous benefits, such as access to flextime, before- and after-school care, training through the Inova Leadership Institute and benefits for adoptive parents.

“Being named a top company for working mothers is an honor and a testament to our commitment to our employees, nurses and physicians,” says Kylanne Green, chief administrative officer, Inova Health System. “We believe our innovative approaches to staffing, recruitment and retention will continue make us an employer of choice for working mothers.”

Inova has more than 15,000 employees, with a staff that’s 80 percent female. Inova also offers three company-sponsored, on-site child care centers for employees and a partnership with a local day care provider to offer emergency back-up services.
