Inova Health System Hosts Gala 2007 to Benefit Hospitals and Health Programs

Smokey Robinson to Entertain; More Than 850 Community Leaders and Supporters Expected to Attend

Falls Church, VA – (August 29, 2007) — Inova Health System’s Gala 2007, Harvest Ball, will be held Saturday, September 15 at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner. This festive evening will include silent and live auctions, as well as a live performance by acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson. Award-winning journalist Nina Totenberg of National Public Radio and Inside Washington will emcee the event.

This annual event raises funds to support the facilities and programs throughout Inova Health System. Donors have the opportunity to select a beneficiary hospital or program of their choice. Last year’s gala raised more than $1.6 million.

The black-tie dinner and auction will be chaired by Paula and Andrew Darling of McLean, VA. The evening will also include a presentation of the “Commitment to Excellence” awards to those who have shown extraordinary leadership and dedication to Inova.
