Area Emergency Medical Services Rescue Teams Will Be Honored During National EMS Week

Alexandria, VA – (May 17, 2007) – Inova Alexandria Hospital will be serving a special breakfast Tuesday,
May 22, to honor area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) workers who dedicate their
lives to caring for the community.

“EMS workers are an extension of any hospital emergency department,” said  Martin Brown, MD, medical director of emergency medicine at Inova Alexandria  Hospital. “What these men and women do at the scene of an emergency directly affects our ability to successfully treat patients that come through our doors. That’s why we are so grateful to have such a dedicated group of professionals working in our city.”
