Inova’s Life With Cancer Program Partners With Panera Bread For National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

FALLS CHURCH, VA – (October 15, 2008) – Inova Health System’s Life with Cancer® program has partnered with Panera Bread for the month of October in the fight against breast cancer. All Panera Bread locations in Northern Virginia will donate a portion of their Pink Ribbon Bagel® sales to the program.

“The financial support of Panera’s campaign will assist in providing information, education and counseling services at no cost to cancer patients, their family members and friends,” said Gordon Hay, director, Life with Cancer®.

The Life with Cancer ® program offers support groups, exercise classes, nutrition programs, art therapy and outreach throughout the Northern Virginia region through philanthropy and donations, similar to the partnership with Panera Bread.

Panera Bread owns and franchises nearly 1,200 bakery-cafes, with nearly 30 in the Northern Virginia region. The Pink Ribbon Bagel is made with cherry chips, dried cherries, cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar.
