Inova Loudoun Hospital Foundation and Middleburg Community Center Offering Education Session On Music Therapy

Leesburg, VA – January 29, 2016 – Inova Loudoun Hospital Foundation and the Middleburg Community Center are partnering to bring to the community an interactive discussion on Medical Music Therapy and the impact it has on patients with stroke, Alzheimer’s and other diseases.  The event is Wednesday, February 17 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the Middleburg Community Center, 300 West Washington Street, Middleburg. There will be a panel discussion and Q&A session.

Guest speakers will be Tom Sweitzer, Executive Director, A Place to Be; Cathy Christopher, Director of Rehabilitation Services at Inova Loudoun Hospital; and Ray Leone, Music Therapist, A Place to Be.

The evening is co-hosted by Carey Crane, Middleburg business and community leader, and Teresa Wheeler, board member at A Place to Be and Inova Loudoun Hospital Foundation. This is the second of a quarterly Community Health Event series the Inova Loudoun Hospital Foundation and the Middleburg Community Center plan to host on various health topics.
