Inova Loudoun Hospital and Life with Cancer Host Advanced Cancer Support Group

Next Meeting September 26 at 6:30 p.m.

 

Leesburg, VA — September 8, 2016 — Inova Loudoun Hospital and Life with Cancer host a free, monthly Advanced Cancer Support Group. The purpose of the support group is to network with others that are living with advanced cancer. The group meets the fourth Monday of the month from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at Inova Loudoun Hospital, 44035 Riverside Parkway, Leesburg in the Radiation Oncology Center, Suite 100. The next Advanced Cancer Support Group will be on Monday, September 26th.

Has your doctor told you that you have advanced cancer? Research has shown that support and education can help improve the quality of life for those living with advanced disease. This networking group will explore ways to learn to live with advanced cancer and the many questions and life decisions that come along with the diagnosis. Join with others who can support you along the way.

Christine Stone, RN, MSN, OCN, Oncology Navigator and Elise Schneider, MSW, LCSW, Oncology Social Worker facilitate the group.
