Inova Kellar Center Benefits from 8th Annual Cardinal Bank Charity Classic

2010 Golf and Tennis Tournament Raises More Than $200,000 for Local Charities

Falls Church, VA – (June 20, 2010) — More than 250 golf and tennis players put forth their best swings to raise more than $200,000 at the 2010 Cardinal Bank Charity Classic, bringing the eight-year fundraising total to almost $2 million. The funds raised will help support the Inova Kellar Center and other community-outreach programs through the Cardinal Bank Community Fund.

George Mason University Patriots Men’s Basketball Coach Jim Larranaga was this year’s honorary chairman for the tournament, which was held at the Country Club of Fairfax. More than 1,000 volunteers, donors, businesses and sponsors took part.

Inova Kellar Center is a not-for-profit comprehensive mental health/substance abuse and Special Education School. It provides structured and individualized mental health, substance abuse and special education programs to children, adolescents and their families. To ensure these vital community resources continue to be available to all in need, the Center relies on donations from individuals, foundations and corporations.
